UMOJAFRIKA-YASMAU is a youth and student-led and Eldership wisdom-guided organisational endeavour of total Pan-Afrikan Liberation, that is being rekindled with stronger Decolonization vigour more vibrantly since 25th May 2018; doing so in order to build upon the foundations laid in the 1970s in a good number of schools, colleges and universities throughout Ghana, by its visionary young pioneering disciples of Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah, who then belonged to what used to be called the Student Movement for Afrikan Unity (SMAU). Striving to better learn from the strengths and weaknesses of the SMAU, the co-founders of the UMOJAFRIKA-YASMAU, amongst whom are veteran SMAU stalwarts, decided to give more enduring Grassroots sustenance to their movement building endeavour by planting UMOJAFRIKA-YASMAU within emergent Community Spaces of Lifelong Learning (COSOLLs); and extending it from their nuclei of aspiring Youth and Student Pan-Afrikan Freedom fighting Scholar-Activist Cadres into schools, colleges and universities within and beyond Ghana.
Hence, facilitated by the Grassroots Community-based Planet Repairs Action Learning Advocates of the Peoples' Internationalist Fora for Inter-Community Lifelong Learning (PIFICOLL), assisted by PRYPAC and the Global Citizenship Education for Planet Repairs Action (GCEPRA), amongst other networks, there is the systematic emergence, from some of the more dynamic youth and student galvanised COSOLLs, of Pan-Afrikan Liberatory Organic Scholar-Activist Asafo Cadre-nuclei of the UMOJAFRIKA-YASMAU within indigenous and other Communities of Resistance in various parts of the continent and diaspora of Afrika.
